A more now rare edition of the Beogram 5500 in white. The transition from where the Beogram 5005 ended with the 'new' Beogram 5500 'turntable is almost identical to its former stable companion. A beautiful white version was released in time for Bang & Olufsen's 60th Anniversary; this would be the beginning of a new, welcome return of white.

Taking over from where Beogram 5005 left off, the ‘new’ Beogram 5500‘ turntable was almost identical to its former stable-mate. A beautiful white version was released in time for Bang & Olufsen’s sixtieth anniversary; this was to be the start of a new, welcome rerun of white products in the B&O range.
The MMC4 cartridge was retained from the former model.
The Beogram 5500 record-deck was replaced by Beogram 6500 some four years after its introduction.
